We are looking for someone who is hard working, enjoys reading and attention to detail, having their own workload, is interested in healthcare and records management to join us in our two GP surgeries
1. Processing Patient information and entering information onto our Patient clinical medical records system which is SystmOne
2. Assisting in recalling patients to the Practice for Long Term Condition follow-up clinic appointments by contacting patients by phone and by text offering patients long term condition appointments and vaccinations that the patient is eligible to have
3. Scanning relevant Patient correspondence and letters and attaching related correspondence into the patients medical records
4. Filling information electronically into the Patients computer record
5. Checking and dealing with emails into the Practice
6. Providing basic IT support to other members of the Practice team such as dealing with password resets, computers or printers not working
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for reviewing new and existing medical records and patient information, correspondence and post. They will scan and attach this correspondence onto the Patients electronic medical records on the clinical system, to provide the clinical staff with an accurate and easily accessible electronic summary of a patient's medical history
The post holder will ensure that the records comply with legal, regulatory and ethical requirements, working strictly in accordance with the Notes Summarising Protocol
Monitoring progress of notes summarising against practice targets and monitoring patient call and recall systems will form part for the role in addition to basic administration work such as scanning documents, filing and retrieving paperwork and post

The doctors and nurses depend heavily on the quality of the clinical records to provide much needed information to the patients and other teams across the surgery. To undertake this aspect of the role you must be able to read large amounts of clinical information and have an eye for detail
Full training will be provided for the summarising aspect of the role. However, a strong command of English language and reading ability is required to be able to thrive in the role
About us
We are a two site GP surgery looking after 18,300 patients and work out of two purpose built modern Medical Centres in Leeds 9 Osmondthorpe and Leeds 15 Crossgates
We have a team of 40 including doctors, nurses, receptionists and admin staff working out of the two medical centres so you will be joining a well established and experienced team
There is on site free parking at both sites and there are staff rest areas for lunch and breaks
We also provide a staff uniform and offer free tea, coffee, chilled water to all members of staff
