GP Vacancy Location: Dudley Wood Surgery

We are seeking a fully qualified GP to join our multidisciplinary team at Dudley Wood Surgery. This is an ARRS funded role but is available to all GPs.

This roleoffers the opportunity to work within a supportive team, providing safe, effective, and accessible care to our registered patients. You will manage a wide range of acute, chronic, and complex conditions while working collaboratively with the wider clinical team. In addition, you will contribute to quality improvement initiatives, enhanced services, and practice development.

Sessions: 2 sessions up to full-time (negotiable)

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified GP registration is essential.
  • Applications from trainees, FY doctors, or applicants without full GP registration will not be considered.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centred care across a wide range of acute, chronic, and complex conditions.
  • Conduct face-to-face, telephone, and video consultations as appropriate.
  • Manage medications, including repeat prescriptions, medication reviews, and ensuring safe prescribing practices.
  • Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team, including nurses, healthcare assistants, pharmacists, and administrative staff.
  • Participate in practice-based clinical meetings, case discussions, and governance activities.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, audits, and clinical governance projects.
  • Support and deliver enhanced services commissioned by the local Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) or Integrated Care Board (ICB).
  • Maintain accurate patient records, manage referral letters, and ensure compliance with confidentiality and data protection policies.
  • Undertake administrative duties related to patient care, including reviewing investigations, completing clinical correspondence, and responding to patient queries.
  • Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) and appraisal processes.
  • Support practice development initiatives aimed at improving patient care, access, and service delivery.
