GAB Healthcare

Salaried GP

The closing date is 13 April 2026

Job summary

Join a thriving, forward-thinking training practice as a Salaried GP, working across two well-established sites within a supportive multidisciplinary team. We are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while creating an environment where clinicians feel valued, supported, and able to develop professionally.

As a training practice, education and mentorship are at the heart of what we do. You'll work alongside experienced GP trainers, trainees, nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals in a collaborative setting that encourages shared learning and clinical discussion. This structure supports safe workload management, varied clinical exposure & opportunities to contribute to teaching and supervision.

Our modern approach to general practice emphasises teamwork, innovation, and continuity of care. We use well-developed systems, strong administrative support, and effective pathways to help clinicians focus on what matters most: patient care.

Working across two sites offers variety in patient demographics while maintaining the stability of a cohesive practice team. We prioritise clinician wellbeing with manageable workloads, protected learning time, and a culture that values open communication and mutual support.

This is an excellent opportunity for a GP who enjoys working in a dynamic, progressive practice and wants to be part of a team - shaping the future of primary care while maintaining the personal, community-focused values of general practice.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will work as part of a large, supportive multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across two practice sites. The role will involve providing comprehensive general medical services to the practice population, including the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.

Main duties include undertaking face-to-face and remote consultations, managing same-day and routine appointments, reviewing laboratory results and clinical correspondence, and maintaining accurate and contemporaneous medical records. The GP will also be responsible for prescribing safely and effectively, making appropriate referrals, and contributing to the continuity of care for patients.

The post-holder will work collaboratively with the wider clinical team, including nurses, pharmacists, and other allied health professionals, to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care. Participation in clinical meetings, practice development activities, and quality improvement initiatives will be expected.

As the practice is a training practice, there will be opportunities to support medical students and GP trainees, depending on experience and interest.

The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining high clinical standards, supporting the delivery of safe and effective services, and helping to meet the evolving needs of the practice population while working within NHS and local guidelines.
