Job summary
Kirkgate Surgery is a friendly, patient-focused practice with a strong ethos of teamwork and support. We are excited to be recruiting a caring Practice Nurse to join our clinical team for 10-15 hours per week.
This opportunity has arisen as our current Practice Nurse is relocating out of the area. We offer a welcoming environment where you will be supported to have a good work-life balance and grow professionally. The role would suit an experienced Practice Nurse looking to reduce their hours later in their career, returning from a career break or a Practice Nurse wishing to supplement another part-time role. We would also consider a regular locum practice nurse for the right candidate who was willing to be part of the team.
We provide support and mentorship whatever your circumstances, and value nurses that bring their experience and expertise to strethen the team and patient care.
Please note that we regret that we cannot accept applicants that require visa sponsorship or do not have nursing experience in the UK.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work with autonomy alongside our GPs, and HCA team to deliver high-quality patient care, supporting baby immunisations, cervical screening, chronic disease management such as diabetes, asthma COPD etc, phlebotomy, wound management and treatment room duties. The successful candidate will oversee infection control compliance; vaccination ordering and ensure that all nurse-related Care Quality Commission evidence indicators are compliant.
