Oakwood Surgery is located in Mansfield Woodhouse, a large village
about 2 kilometres north of Mansfield itself; 20 minutes from Junction 28 of
the M1.
Bull Farm branch is located in Bull Farm and lies just north west
of Mansfield. The 2 sites are less than 2 miles apart.
Main duties of the job
The salaried GP is responsible for providing medical care and services to the practice population, managing a clinical caseload and dealing
with a diverse range of health needs.
This will include, but is not limited to, face to face and telephone consultations, home visits, administration, complying with the practices
contracts (GMS/enhanced services), and the education and training of junior/trainee clinical staff.

Oakwood Surgery is a busy training practice, rated 'good' at our last CQC inspection, split over two sites.
Our team is made up of:
5 GP Partners
4 Salaried GP's
7 Nurses/HCA's
1 Pharmacist Prescriber
1 Practice Manager
19 Receptionists
10 Other administrative staff
We also work collaboratively with a team of pharmacists, FCP's and paramedics to provide a multi-disciplinary service to our 15,900 patients.
As a training practice we are passionate about supporting our team to learn new skills and develop in their role to better meet the needs of our patients.

We are looking for a salaried GP to deliver 6 sessions per week, who will enjoy working in a supportive team looking after a diverse range of patients. Both experienced and newly qualified GP's will be considered.
The practice is based across 2 sites and has an enthusiastic and welcoming team of staff including 5 GP Partners, 4 Salaried GP's, 7 Nurses / HCA's and a team of admin staff.
Recognised as a training practice we regularly support 3 registrars and offer the opportunity for staff to develop new skills or utilise specialist skill sets or interests.
We are keen to ensure the continued long term delivery of excellent primary care to our local community and as a GP, your workload will be organised to enable you to focus on providing excellent care. You will be expected to undertake all of the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care including
- Carrying out thorough face to face consultations and telephone consultations
- 2 Home visits per day
- Completion of self generated admin, along with review of clinical letters, blood results and tasks
- Assisting with medical emergencies
- Referring cases outside of the scope of the practice to appropriate secondary services
- pro rata share of on call sessions
