Employed by Roby Medical Centre on behalf of Central & South PCN

We are looking for a newly qualified GP to join Central and South Primary Care Network, employed by Roby Medical Centre. This is a structured and well-supported opportunity to build confidence, develop clinical practice, and work within a collaborative system.

This role is funded through the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS) and is open to GPs within two years of CCT who have not yet held a substantive post.

Main duties of the job

The Role

You will work within a supportive PCN model, delivering high-quality care across one, or at most two, practices within the network (depending on sessions agreed).

You will:

  • Deliver face-to-face and telephone consultations
  • Manage acute and routine presentations
  • Prescribe safely in line with local and national guidance
  • Complete clinical administration including referrals, results and prescriptions
  • Undertake home visits where clinically appropriate
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care

Contribute to extended access services on a pro-rata basis

Support, Supervision and Development

You will have:

  • Structured supervision and mentorship
  • Dedicated education and supervision sessions built into the role
  • Access to experienced GP Partners and Clinical Directors
  • A network-wide MDT including pharmacists, ACPs, paramedics and care coordinators
