We are
a GMS practice located in a busy part of Hackney East London, with a practice
list size of 11,000 patients seeking a GP to join our hard working, competent,
experienced and friendly team.
Our
aim is to provide a supportive environment for the development of all our GP's
and staff. There is a strong emphasis on teamwork to promote an enjoyable and
effective working environment. We are a GP training and undergraduate Practice.
The
surgery has a CQC overall of 'Good' and high achieving in the delivery of local
services.

We are
seeking a GP able to work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the
provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an
excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract.
Furthermore,
the post holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice,
contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example,
maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the
multidisciplinary team
About us
The
London Fields Medical Centre is a long-established medical practice in a busy
and exciting part of Hackney, East London. We use EMIS Web clinical system and
have a patient list of 11,000. We are located on the ground floor of a two-storey
building with excellent transport links and connections. We are team of 9
Doctors, 2 nurses, a HCA and comprehensive admin team. We are very friendly
supportive and an excellent environment to work in.

Job Responsibilities
The following are the core responsibilities of the Salaried GP. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
- Support the partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure
- The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
- Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
- Effective management of long-term conditions
- Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks
- Undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, telephone triage, and duty doctor roles as per timetable/Job Plan
- Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
- Work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
- Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
- Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
- Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) of the QOF
- Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required
- Contribute effective to the development and maintenance of the practice including clinical governance and training
- Ensure compliance with the appraisal process
- Prepare and complete the revalidation process
- Commit to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice team
- Support the training of medical students from all clinical disciplines
- Review and always adhere to practice protocols and policies
- Encourage collaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly, always promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
