Job summary

The role

This isnt your typical admin role. You'll play a key part in the smooth running of the practice, with a strong focus on QOF from managing and coding patient data accurately to producing reports and supporting related clinical and administrative processes. While QOF will be your main priority, there will also be times when youll support other areas of the practice, including reception, particularly when flexibility is needed.

Youll need to be:

  • Sharp with detail accurate coding and record-keeping is essential.
  • Comfortable multitasking admin, coding, reports, and reception cover all play a part.
  • Data-savvy youll help us make sense of information, spot trends, and support practice development through audits and searches.
  • Adaptable primary care doesnt stand still; neither will you.
  • People-focused patients, colleagues, and the wider MDT need your input.

Main duties of the job

What youll do

Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

  • Accurate clinical coding of patient information (including use of SNOMED codes).
  • Identifying and actioning relevant details in patient correspondence.
  • Producing and supporting monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
  • Supporting audits and practice searches to improve care and efficiency.
  • Assisting with reception duties when required, including appointment booking and patient queries.
  • Actioning and managing incoming correspondence as needed (mail, emails, phone calls).
  • Supporting colleagues across all levels and roles within the practice.
  • Maintaining and updating the practice website and social media channels to ensure consistent, positive public engagement.
