Main duties of the job
We are looking for a friendly and motivated Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our busy GP practice team. Ideally the candidate should be able to work all day Thursdays and Friday afternoons. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality patient care by carrying out a range of clinical duties, including taking blood samples (phlebotomy), measuring blood pressure, performing ECGs, and undertaking NHS Health Checks. You will also assist with vaccinations and injections (such as flu and B12), support chronic disease monitoring, and help maintain accurate clinical records. The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a caring approach to patients. Previous experience in a primary care setting and relevant qualifications are desirable.

Job SummaryThe Healthcare Assistant (HCA) will support the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality patient care within the practice. Working under the supervision of a registered healthcare professional, the post holder will perform a range of clinical duties including phlebotomy, blood pressure measurement, ECGs, NHS Health Checks, vaccinations (such as flu and B12), and general health promotion.
