Primary Care Today Limited

Salaried GP

The closing date is 31 March 2026

Job summary

Churchtown Medical Centre is seeking a motivated Salaried GP to join our friendly, forward-thinking team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a well-organised, supportive environment where GP wellbeing and manageable workloads are a genuine priority. With no on-call requirements, flexible start and finish times, and a structured clinical day, this role offers an outstanding work-life balance.

You will benefit from strong multidisciplinary support, including ANPs, prescribing pharmacists, paramedics managing the majority of home visits, and a dedicated clinical admin team that significantly reduces GP administrative burden. Our modern systems and efficient processes allow you to focus on delivering high-quality patient care while maintaining professional satisfaction.

This role is ideal for a GP seeking stability, flexibility, and the opportunity to work in a collaborative practice that values its clinicians and actively works to create a sustainable and enjoyable working environment.

Main duties of the job

As a Salaried GP, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred primary care through a combination of face-to-face consultations and telephone assessments. You will assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, ensuring safe and effective treatment and follow-up where required.

You will work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team, including nurses, ANPs, pharmacists, and paramedics, to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care. Maintaining accurate and timely clinical records using EMIS Web will form an important part of your daily work.

The role also involves contributing to practice clinical discussions, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining high clinical standards in line with current guidelines. There will be opportunities to develop specialist interests and contribute to specialist clinics, depending on your individual skills and interests.

About us

Located in Southport, our practice serves approximately 10,000 patients and is supported by a highly skilled and collaborative multidisciplinary team. Our clinical team includes four Salaried GPs, ANPs, practice nurses, HCAs, a physician associate, prescribing pharmacists, and paramedics who manage most home visits, ensuring GP time is used effectively.

We have a dedicated clinical administrative team in place specifically to reduce GP workload, allowing clinicians to focus on patient care rather than paperwork. Our practice uses efficient systems and workflows designed to support both patient access and clinician wellbeing.

We pride ourselves on maintaining a supportive, respectful, and positive working culture. We actively promote flexibility, professional development, and innovation, creating an environment where GPs feel valued, supported, and able to thrive both professionally and personally.
