Job summary

As a dispenser, you play a vital role in supporting patients by preparing and supplying prescriptions safely and accurately. Working closely with our GPs, pharmacist, and other healthcare professionals, you will be instrumental in ensuring high standards of care, advising patients on medication use, and contributing to the smooth operation of the dispensary.

Main duties of the job

As a Dispenser your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, labelling, and dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently.

  • Managing medication stock levels, including ordering and safe storage.

  • Providing clear, professional advice to patients on the use of their medication.

  • Handling prescription queries and working closely with GPs, pharmacists, and other practice staff.

  • Ensuring all dispensing activities comply with relevant policies and regulations.

  • Maintaining accurate records and supporting the day-to-day running of the dispensary.

We are looking for a reliable and organised Dispenser to join our friendly team at Feltwell Surgery. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and dispensing prescriptions accurately, managing medication stock, and providing safe, clear advice to patients. Youll work closely with GPs, pharmacist, and the wider practice team to support the smooth and efficient running of the dispensary.

  • Manage stock levels, including ordering and checking deliveries

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures

  • NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or working towards it) preferred
