Job summary

We are seeking to recruit professional and friendly Reception staff to join our team. We are looking to increase capacity within our Reception team and therefore we have a number of part time positions available, covering the hours of 7.30am - 6.30pm Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various reception and administrative tasks. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a busy office environment

Main duties of the job

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Answer phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
  • Know how to deal with difficult situations and work under pressure.
  • Handle clerical duties such as filing, GP notes, incoming mail, photocopying, and scanning documents.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required, ensuring smooth office operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organised reception area.

Your regular duties in this role will be dealing with telephone, face to face and electronic enquiries, booking and/or amending patient appointments and home visits, contacting patients to provide information from the clinical team and assisting patients to access our services and those available in the wider community.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised and an effective communicator who can provide a professional and warm welcome to our patients, ensuring every contact is of the highest quality.

IT skills are essential, as you will be regularly creating searches, data input and monitoring our achievements and progress against national, local, and internal targets.
