We are a15,800
patient training practice based in the Waldron Health Centre, a modern,
spacious facility in the heart of Deptford, North Lewisham. Deptford is a
dynamic, diverse, culturally rich and rapidly changing neighbourhood with
pockets of deprivation alongside new developments. We are situated directly
opposite New Cross station and within walking distance of Deptford DLR,
Deptford station and New Cross Gate station.

Main duties of the job
- The post holder will provide clinical care within a team consisting of general practitioners, advanced healthcare professionals (ANPs, clinical pharmacist), practice nurses and Healthcare assistants.
- Patient contact will be mainly via triage, on-call duties and home visits
- Duties include, but not limited to home visits, post-discharge reviews and minor illness management
- Provide care for presenting patient from initial history taking clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of care.
- You must demonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care, including assessment and diagnosis skills for patients within the general practice.

Job Summary:
The Paramedic Practitioner (PP) will act autonomously within their professional scope of practice providing care for patients face to face, telephone consultations and home visits.
The post-holder will operate within their own sphere of competence and agreed acceptable limits of practice to provide expert professional clinical advice to patients, carers and colleagues, ensuring clinical safety and excellence.
The Paramedic Practitioner will need to prioritise and triage the needs of patients accordingly, making any necessary referrals for investigations in the appropriate manner.
