Job summary
This is an exciting
role for an experienced Research Nurse to join a joined-up collaboration of
practices who wish to deliver research to their patients to enable better
health outcomes, to help find new innovative treatments to help treat diseases
with evidence-based research within the NIHR CRDC (Primary Care). Research is
at the heart of our values & part of everyday practice in the NHS. It gives
hope to patients & helps improve current treatment, medicines & develop
new treatments which enables hope to happen. As part of the NIHR CRDC (Primary
Care) there are 5 practices in the Poole locality and 1 practice in the Purbeck
locality.
Main duties of the job
The RRN would be
expected to work across all sites to help set up research services &
deliver commercial clinical research trials. The RRN will work with the Lead
Roving Research Nurse to ensure that the highest professional standard of
nursing care is delivered to research participants and, where relevant their
families, in partnership with all clinical teams and in adherence to all NIHR
CRDC (Primary Care) & TAP protocols/policies & guidelines. The role of
the RRN needs to be flexible in line with the present atmosphere for change
within health service delivery and the variance of research studies undertaken.
It is essential that the RRN must work under their own sphere of competency
& be able to work autonomously across all collaboration sites with recognising
the need to reach out for help when required. It is the role of the RRN to
adhere to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) at all times enabling a safe research
journey for each.

The Adam Practice is a partnership of 16 GPs located across 4 surgeries in Poole, Dorset. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing primary care team in a forward- thinking, innovative, general practice, which has a current CQC rating ofOutstanding in Care.
Our Research team give the best possible patient care and to benefit our patients. We have been an active research centre for the past 10 years and have worked on early phase studies up to later phase. We are now an accredited NIHR CRDC (Primary Care) facility.
As well as our work at the research hub we are continuing to recruit into complex commercial trials.
