Job summary
This
is an exciting role for a Senior Research Nurse to be part of a new network
of NIHR Clinical Research Delivery Centre (CRDC) in Primary Care. This post
will be based within our hub at The Adam Practice. The Adam Practice is the
host organisation for the NIHR CRDC (Primary Care). The Senior Research Nurse
will be part of a large team delivering early phase medicine clinical trials
and later phase clinical trials. At The Adam Practice we have been delivering
complicated clinical trials for the last 10 years and have built a strong
portfolio to continue delivering these types of trials.
As
part of the NIHR CRDC (Primary Care) we are affiliated with 5 other practices
who act as the spokes for the hub. There will be an element of cross working
with the spokes, but this position will be mainly based on The Adam Practice
working on trials that have been running for the past couple of years.
Main duties of the job
The role of the Senior Research Nurse
will be an integral to the successful delivery of clinical trials at The Adam
Practice. Knowledge of frameworks such as ICH-GCP, UK Policy Framework for
Health and Social Care Research (2017) & Medicines for Human Use (Clinical
Trials) Regulations 2004 is a must and with this knowledge you will support
junior members of the team. The role of the Senior Research Nurse needs to be flexible
in line with the present atmosphere for change within the health service
delivery and the variance of research studies undertaken. It is essential that
the nurse must work within their own level of competency and expand her/his
role in accordance with practice requirements and own scope of practice.

research hub we are continuing to recruit into complex commercial trials.
