As a Healthcare Assistant, with proven
healthcare experience in an acute or community environment, you will assist
with the delivery of patient care. Providing support to health care
professionals within a multi-disciplinary team, working under the supervision
of the clinician and within the group parameters of practice.
Main duties of the job
As
someone who can work with autonomy, you will apply your skills and knowledge to
the following clinical areas of responsibilities:
ECG recording
Experience and
knowledge in wound-care
Removal of
sutures and staples
Deliver
Vaccinations under PSD and support from trained professionals deliver Flu
vaccine, Pneumonia vaccines and B12 injections.
Undertaking
specific clinical activities for named patients within your own skillset.
Assisting in
the assessment and surveillance of patients health and well-being
Chaperoning
duties
Knowledge of EMIS
templates to undertake nursing assessments and Long-Term Condition reviews
Clearing
and re-stocking consulting rooms.
Processing and
management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/nurses.
Vaccine/cold
chain storage, monitoring and recording
Surgical
equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation
Preparing and
maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care
interventions
Assisting
GPs during the performance of minor operations
Support the
medical and nursing team throughout the day - this will include home visits so you must be a car driver.
