Job summary
Longrove Surgery are looking for a part time (15 hours per week) Medical Reports Administrator to join the team. The candidate will contribute to the efficient operation of our practice by managing the generation, distribution, and organisation of medical reports. The Medical Reports Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient medical records, supporting healthcare providers in delivering quality care to our patients.
Previous experience:
1. Previous experience in medical administration or healthcare documentation management, preferably in a GP practice or healthcare setting.
2. Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and medical transcription software.
3. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transcribing and reviewing medical documentation.
4. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to priorities tasks and manage time effectively.
5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with healthcare providers and other staff members.
6. Keep up to date with training as required in line with record keeping legislation
7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
8. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in healthcare documentation.
Main duties of the job
Mani duties include:
1. Coordinate the generation and distribution of medical reports and preparing full medical records to send to insurance companies in a designated time frame
2. Review medical reports for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with documentation standards and guidelines. GDPR
3. Maintain organised and up-to-date electronic and physical filing systems for medical reports and records.
4. Respond to requests for medical records from patients, insurance companies, and legal entities, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations
5. Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to address any documentation-related issues or concerns.
6. Assist in the preparation and completion of forms, reports, and correspondence related to patient care and administrative processes.
7. Stay informed about changes in medical record keeping practices, regulations, and technology to ensure compliance and efficiency. The candidate will be required to attend any training necessary for the role, including GDPR, which coudl be internal, extrenal or online
8. Liaise with GP's.
About us
We are a friendly, supportive training practice in North London. We currently have 7 salaried GPs, 5 GP Partners and a Management Partner. We also have nurses, HCAs and a pharmacist in our clinical team.
We are a training practice and have approximately 17,000 patients.
We are located in a Primary Care Health Centre and are looking to expand our administration team. We have a large admin team to assist the clinicians which includes GP Assistants, Prescription Clerks and Medical Secretaries
Our practice is part of a Primary Care Network and actively involved in a range of schemes and services to provide high quality to the local population.
