Medical Receptionist / Care Navigator

Job summary

Longrove Surgery are looking for a Care Navigator to join the team. The applicant must have experience in working with the NHS, have good computer skills and offer excellent customer service

Our Care Navigators are key contributors in supporting the smooth running of the practice by providing internal administrative support necessary for the practice team to meet the needs of and caring for our patients. This role provides an accessible, safe and effective line of communication for patients.The purpose of this supporting role is to ensure that our patients receive an all-around excellent experience.

Main duties of the job

The main duties are to provide a high level of care navigation and reception service to patients, signposting to in-house clinicians and other members of the Practice Team as we as external services, booking appointments with a holistic approach , dealing with queries, processing prescriptions and general administrative duties

Prescription duties will include coordinating and preparing repeat prescriptions for our patients, data entry onto patient records, and liaising with patients and community pharmacies

About us

We are a friendly, supportive training practice in North London .We currently have 5 GP Partners and a Management Partner and 7 salaried GPs. We also have nurses, HCAs and a clinical pharmacist in our clinical team.

We are a training practice located in a Primary Care Health Centre and have 17,300 patients.

We have an large admin team to assist the clinicians which includes GP Assistants, Prescription Clerks and Medical Secretaires
