Job summary
Eltham Medical Practice in Greenwich (SE9) is seeking a Salaried GP to join our well-supported, highly organised, and collaborative team. We are a large, established teaching practice serving 26,000 patients across three sites, all within walking distance. Main duties of the job
46 clinical sessions per week (flexible), under the BMA model contractStructured working day: - Morning: 12 appointments (face-to-face and telephone) + GP-bookable own follow-ups
- Triage: Built in to your day (capped)
- Afternoon: 12 appointments with protected admin time
Duty Doctor: currently one day every two weeks (buddy system) with 25 telephone appointments plus urgent queries (e.g. hospice prescription requests). We are working towards reducing or abolishing this system through improved triage processes.Typical daily admin: 2 Docman letters, 40 prescriptions, 2030 pathology results (supported by automated systems).
Minimal home visits average one per month, duty days only, supported by PCN Home Visiting Team.

Eltham Medical Practice is a progressive GP training practice in Greenwich, SE9, with three sites serving 26,000 patients. We have a strong multidisciplinary team including a Mental Health Nurse, ANP, Physiotherapist, Practice Nurses, HCAs, and a skilled pharmacy team (3 pharmacists, 2 pharmacy technicians, 3 prescription clerks).
We run specialist clinics in diabetes, asthma, dementia, dermoscopy, minor surgery, and joint injections.
