Job summary

Stanwell Road Surgery is a friendly and rapidly growing GP practice in South West London. We are a young, forward-thinking team of five GP Partners caring for over 9,000 patients.

We are looking to welcome an experienced Practice Nurse to join our vibrant, supportive team. We are looking for 2 days a week -Wednesday and Friday 8am to 5pm.

Main duties of the job

Clinical duties may include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing patients health and carrying out basic observations
  • Child and adult immunisations, including baby vaccines
  • Cervical smears
  • ECGs, phlebotomy, urinalysis, and blood pressure checks
  • Wound care, dressings, removal of sutures/clips, and foot checks
  • Routine and travel vaccinations, routine injections, contraception, and health screening
  • Advising patients on health promotion, diet, lifestyle, and minor ailments
  • Supporting chronic disease management (e.g. diabetes, asthma, COPD, hypertension)
  • Assisting with minor procedures and IUCD/IUS fittings
