Job responsibilities

Llynfi Surgery is a friendly, enthusiastic, part-dispensing, GMS training practice in Maesteg with a branch surgery in Bryn. We are looking to recruit a salaried GP for 4 sessions per week (start date & sessions per week negotiable).

Who we are and how we work:

4 partners, 2 salaried doctors and 1 Advanced Paramedic Practitioner with 8300 patients

A family friendly practice recognising the importance of flexibility and the value of work life balance with start and finish times to suit our individual needs.

We offer a mix of telephone or face to face appointments tailored towards our own preferences of ways to consult.

We are highly supportive of newly qualified GPs and meet daily at lunch time.

We offer 6 weeks annual leave and 1 week study leave.

We are a teaching and training practice with FY2, GP VTS and medical students with opportunities for our salaried GPs to be actively involved in teaching medical students.

We have a wide range of additional services including contraceptive services, joint injections and have shared sessions with a Collaborative pharmacist, physiotherapist and chronic disease nurse for the housebound

We have an excellent and supportive nursing and administrative team.

We use EMIS web.

Actively involved in service development within Bridgend North collaborative network

Easy access from the M4 and commutable from Cardiff and Swansea

We are looking for:

A GP who is keen to get involved with the Practice and see it develop and grow.

A GP who is interested in bringing or developing special interests alongside core General Practice

Someone who Shares our commitment to looking after each other and maintaining a happy Practice.

Progressive pay scale based upon experience and number of years post CCT.
