Job summary

The post holder will be a Nurse Associate registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Working within professional boundaries, they will support and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team in a general practice setting. The role involves contributing to the delivery of safe, high-quality nursing care for patients registered at the GP practice.

Main duties of the job

The Nursing Associate will provide high-quality, compassionate care as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting registered nurses and other healthcare professionals. Key responsibilities include conducting clinical observations such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse checks, delivering wound care, administering vaccinations, and assisting patients with long-term conditions, dementia, or mental health needs. Candidates must be trained for baby imms and cervical screening.

You will also promote health and wellbeing through patient education and self-management, support minor procedures, and contribute to integrated care across health and social care settings. Accurate and timely record-keeping using clinical IT systems is essential to ensure effective communication and coordination within the team.
