We are seeking a skilled Health Care Assistant to join our dedicated multi-site GP practices across Tameside. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our clinical team in delivering essential services to our local community.
Main duties of the job
Performing venepuncture and blood sampling
Administering immunisations, including flu and B12 injections
Measuring blood pressure and other vital signs
Conducting NHS Health Checks
Performing diabetic foot checks
Supporting clinicians with patient care and administrative duties as required
Working across multiple practice sites within Tameside

Job responsibilities
Job Purpose:
To provide high-quality clinical and administrative support across multiple GP practice sites, assisting the practice team in delivering safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform venepuncture and other blood sampling procedures safely and accurately.

Administer immunisations, including flu vaccines and B12 injections.

Measure and record patient blood pressure and other vital signs.

Conduct NHS Health Checks and diabetic foot checks.

Support clinicians during patient consultations and procedures as required.

Maintain accurate patient records in line with practice policies and data protection regulations.

Assist with the smooth running of clinical areas, including preparation and stock management of clinical equipment.

Work flexibly across multiple practice sites to meet service needs.

Participate in training and professional development activities as required.
Stock management including ordering
Safety checks including stock check and fridge temperature monitoring
