Medical Receptionist

Job summary

We are looking for experiences GP receptionists to join our team. Ideal candidate will have worked in general practice previously within a reception/admin role. We are a multi site organisation with 4 practices in the Tameside area. You will benefit from support from our team of reception supervisors, administrators and practice managers. Rate of pay is£12.21 p/h plus optional enrolment in NHS pension which is 20% employer contribution. Full and part time considered. Applicants must be flexible with working hours.

Main duties of the job

  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
  • Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information as necessary.
  • Process patient registrations and verify insurance details.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and communication.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
  • Ensure the reception area is organised and welcoming for patients.
  • Comply with all health regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.

About us

We are a group of 5 GP practices 4 in Tameside and 1 in Bolton. Successful applicants will be working across the 4 sites in Tameside. Supported by our current team of experienced receptionists, reception supervisors, administrators and practice managers. We are a hard working and caring team with patient care and experience at the heart of our organisation.
