Job summary

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Salaried GP to join our friendly, supportive team at Heath Hayes Heath Centre / Chase Medical Practice, Cannock.

7 Sessions Per Week working across two modern sites

Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing primary care to patients, diagnosing and treating a wide variety of health conditions, and offering preventative healthcare advice. As a GP, you will play an essential role in promoting overall wellness and maintaining the health of the community by addressing both acute and chronic medical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations to assess patients' health.

  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions (acute, chronic, and minor illnesses).

  • Prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate.

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., blood tests, x-rays, etc.).

  • Manage and monitor ongoing care for patients with chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension).

  • Provide counseling and health education on lifestyle changes and preventative care (diet, exercise, mental health).

  • Ensure the accurate documentation of patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.

  • Refer patients to specialists or hospitals when necessary.

  • Maintain patient confidentiality in line with legal and ethical standards.

  • Participate in continuing education programs to stay current with the latest medical advancements.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
