Job summary
We are seeking a committed and compassionate Salaried GP to join our friendly, well established village practice in Painswick, Stroud. This part time role offers 2 sessions per week on a 6 month fixed-term contract, ideally on Monday morning and Friday morning (with limited flexibility). It is an excellent opportunity for a GP who values continuity of care and enjoys working within a close knit rural community. You will be supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team and a practice culture that prioritises learning, collaboration, and work life balance.
Main duties of the job
As a Salaried GP at Painswick Surgery, your responsibilities will include:
Clinical Care
Providing high quality, patient centred consultations (face to face, telephone, and online)
Managing acute, chronic, and long term conditions in line with best practice and clinical guidelines
Undertaking home visits when clinically appropriate
Supporting continuity of care for our patient population
Clinical Governance & Quality
Contributing to QOF, enhanced services, and other quality improvement activity
Participating in clinical meetings, MDT discussions, and case reviews
Maintaining accurate, timely clinical records using TPP SystmOne
Teamwork & Collaboration
Working closely with GPs, nurses, HCAs, pharmacists, and administrative colleagues
Supporting the training and development of learners within the practice
Contributing to a positive, supportive team culture
Professional Responsibilities
Maintaining GMC registration and revalidation requirements
Participating in CPD, audit, and reflective practice
Upholding practice policies, safeguarding responsibilities, and clinical governance standards
