Job summary

Broadway surgery is a small and friendly practice situated within the Wellsbourne Health Centre in Whitehawk East Brighton.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, friendly and approachable person who is able to use there initiative.

The ideal person will be someone that will go the extra mile for the patient and support the team. We are looking for someone that on occasions would stay an extra five minutes to help a colleague or a patient. They will also havethe skills in place to work with us in general practice andbe able to work independently supporting a variety of clinics and clinical services offered to our registered patients across the East of Brighton.

Please note that there will be some administrative work involved with this position taht will require patient searches. so a good understanding of I.T is essential - training will be given.

Main duties of the job

Core duties will include:

Phlebotomy

Health screening

NHS Health Checks

Supporting clinics

Blood pressure monitoring

Weight, height& BP checks

Testing and handling of clinical specimens e.g. urine dipstick

NHS Health checks

Dressings

New patient checks

Diabetic foot checks

ECG's

Ear syringing

Flu, B12

Suture removal

Ensure adequate infection control procedures in treatment and consulting rooms

Vaccine / cold chain storage, monitoring and recording

Health promotion (including identifying and arranging for patients to come in)

QOF

Stock ordering and replenishment for all clinical rooms
