Pen-Y-Bont Practice is looking for a motivated individual who wishes to join a friendly, patient focused team and play a key role in delivering high quality care to our local community.
Main duties of the job
The HCA forms a vital part of the clinical team. They support clinical staff in the provision of the safe effective care to meet the needs of the patients. As part of the role you will be assisting in ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained, with safe storage of equipment.
Although this list is not exhaustive, some duties will include;
Taking and recording Blood Pressure, height & weight
Performing ECGs and Phlebotomy
Assisting with chronic disease monitoring
Conducting health checks
Assisting GPs and nursed with minor procedures
Updating patient records and ensuring accurate documentation

We are looking for a compassionate and motivated HCA to join our friendly Practice on a 3-6 months fixed-term basis (with potential for review or extension). This part time role is for 16 hours per week worked over four weekday mornings and is ideal for someone seeking flexile hours in a supportive Primary Care environment.
As HCA you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care to our patients. Duties include taking vital signs, performing blood tests, ECGs, assisting with chronic disease reviews, and supporting vaccination clinics.
Experience in Primary Care settling is desirable but not essential.
