Job summary
We are looking for a competent part-time Receptionist, with
a desirable experience of 1 year within NHS GP services or another similar role.
You will need to be able to work within a busy team
environment but also to use your own initiative and work on your own when
necessary.
You will ideally need a good working knowledge of NHS focused
software, SystmOne. You will be dealing with patients, as well as outside
agencies, accessing the service both on the telephone and face to face,
therefore you will need to have good communication skills.
Main duties of the job
Your day can consist of:
-Telephone calls - which need to be answered quickly and
efficiently
- Dealing with prescriptions
- Scheduling appointments for patients,Marking/cancelling/moving appointments
- Opening and closing the practice
- Greet and welcome patients in a professional and friendly
manner.
- Able to deal with patient queries in an empathetic and
sensitive manner.
- Answer and direct phone calls to the appropriate team
member
- Assist with clerical duties such as filing, scanning, and
organizing documents
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries
- Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned.

This is a part-time position for Wednesday Morning (8am - 1pm) & Friday afternoon (1:30 - 6:30pm). This is an excellent
