Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join our clinical team! We are looking for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work 3 days per week (ideally Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday). We are a friendly and sociable team, with a communal office where clinical staff can work on admin and chat with colleagues over a cuppa.
Main duties of the job
The Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) will act autonomously within their professional scope of practice providing care for patients via both face to face and telephone consultations.
The post holder will operate within their own sphere of competence and agreed acceptable limits of practice to provide expert professional clinical advice to patients, carers and colleagues, ensuring clinical safety and excellence.
The Advanced Nurse Practitioner will need to prioritise and triage the needs of patients accordingly, making any necessary referrals for investigations in the appropriate manner.
The post holder will use skills, knowledge and competencies as a qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner in order to be responsible and accountable for managing patient caseloads for treatments, referral, and admitting patients as appropriate.

We are a team of 4 partners and 4 salaried GP's as well as an experienced practice nursing team, and we have excellent admin support.We are proud to be a highly respected teaching and training practice.As part of a small and friendly PCN we have a wider team also including 3 PCN pharmacists, a mental health practitioner and physiotherapist, as well as ateam of excellent community link workers who support patients with social prescribing needs.
We would provide regular clinical supervision/mentoring for the successful candidate with a GP Partner, and there is always a duty doctor available for urgent clinical queries if required.
