Job summary
This role will be based at one of our four PCN practices (Caen Medical
Centre), there is a requirement to be flexible with working from another
practice within the PCN where additional cover may be needed as service needs
dictate.
Main duties of the job
Responsible for
attending to patients who wish to be seen by a health care professional;
diagnosing and treating patients presenting with minor illness or injuries;
seeing and advising people in respect of their continuing medical and nursing
needs. Patients will either be seen on
practice premises or visited in their own homes.
There is a
requirement to work within the same day team.
The Paramedic will need to prioritise and triage the needs of patients
accordingly making any necessary referrals for investigations in the
appropriate manner. Patients with
problems needing referral to secondary care should be discussed with the
registered GP.
Responsible for
triaging visit requests and attending to patients who require a home visit by a
health care professional; diagnosing and treating patients, seeing and advising
people in response to their continuing medical and health needs

North Devon Coastal is a group of four GP practices: Combe Coastal
Practice, Caen Medical Centre, South Molton Medical Centre and Lynton Health
Centre collaboratively working together to deliver services to a population of
approximately 50,000 patients. We cover an area that expands from the sea to
the edges of Exmoor.
