Eden Park Surgery in Beckenham is looking to appoint a Receptionist & Administrator to join a busy practice.
We have an extremely forward thinking and flexible team, and we are looking for like minded individuals to apply for this post to contribute to our team ethos.
The 26.5hrs a week may be worked at anytime across Mon-Fri 8am-6.30pm. You will have a static work pattern with overtime available to cover collegues leave.
Main duties of the job
This is a combined role, including a mixture of reception sessions and administrative ones.
We run total triage model using AccuRx
which has been very successful since its launch last July. There is scope for the reception team to
become more involved in this model as we incrementally improve our processes in
order to efficiently navigate patients to access the support they require.
The new post holder will also be responsible for general administration and the processing & coding of clinical letters & emails into the practice.
About us
You'll join a friendly supportive team consisting of 10 receptionists and a reception manager, working alongside 5 GP partners, 4 ANPs, 3 pharmacists and a practice nurse, who together care for around 8500 patients.
This is a part time role, with exact sessions to be agreed.
CQC rated us 'good' in January 2024.

Duties included but are not limited to:
- Usitilsation of EMIS Clinical system
- Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately
- Signpost patients to the correct service
- Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and external agencies
- Code data on the clinical IT system
- Photocopy documentation as required
- Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required
- Input data into patients healthcare records as necessary
- Direct requests for information, i.e., SAR, insurance/solicitors letters and DVLA forms to the administrative team
- Manage all queries as necessary in an efficient manner
- Carry out system searches as requested
- lMaintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
- Monitor and maintain the reception area and notice boards
- Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested
