General Practitioner

Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic General Practitioner to join our established team and be a part of a Practice that really cares and makes a difference within the community. You will be working within our purpose built surgery within Crowborough. Practice list size is 9600 patients. Ideally we are looking for a GP to cover 3-4 clinical sessions per week. The practice is located within a beautiful rural setting in the High Weald area of East Sussex but with easy access links to the South and nearby Tunbridge Wells.

We welcome applications from newly qualified GPs or GPs returning to work.

Main duties of the job

At Saxonbury House we offer a culture of learning to all of our clinicians working at the practice. As a training practice we would welcome either an accredited GP trainer or would be happy to support a clinician that would like to gain GP training status.

GP sessions are 12 appointments per session (a mix of face-to-face or telephone consultations), with home visit(s) after the morning session if required.

We use Emis-web, Docman, and utilise a triage-based approach with eConsults for appointment booking with GPs/Nurse Prescriber.

We are an established GP Surgery providing Primary Care Services to the Crowborough area in East Sussex. We are a consistently high-QOF achieving practice. We have a patient population of over 9,600 patients with 4 GP Partners and 3 Salaried GPs , 1 GP registrar currently, 1 ANP, 3 Nurses, 3 HCAs, 2 First Contact Physios, a Social Prescriber, 4 Care coordinators, in-house Pharmacist and Pharmacist Technician support. Our organisational culture is a learning one, where opportunities for improvement can come from any member of the team, with solutions openly discussed.

We have a mixed model of telephone or face to face consultations depending on the patients expressed preference or as clinically indicated.
