Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Emergency Care Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals at Coast & Country Primary Care Network, based at Holsworthy Medical Centre in North Devon.
The role is very busy and varied, with no two days being the same. As well as offering variety, the role is incredibly rewarding, offering direct patient care from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment through to the evaluation of the care that patients have received.
Main duties of the job
You will be working as part of our Multi Disciplinary team using your high level clinical skills, making clinical decision and providing expert care for patients within the general practice as well as working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary general practice team.
In addition you will also be working with our dedicated Home Visiting team and On-The-Day-Team who triage and treat minor illnesses and injuries.

the specific needs of these local populations, enabling greater provision of proactive, personalised,
coordinated and more integrated health and social care with patients still accessing routine GP appointments as they
do now
Coast &
Country Primary Care Network consists of 5 practices across North Devon and
North Cornwall; Holsworthy, Hatherleigh, Stratton, Neetside and Bradworthy who are working closely with each other, enjoying the ability to share expertise and resources, to develop new and extended services.

Qualifications
Essential
- HCPC Registration
- Minimum of BSc in Paramedic Science or equivalent
- Hold or be willing to complete Framework for ECPs (PCN requirement)
- Minor Injuries and Minor Illness course (degree level)
Desirable
- Hold or be willing to study Prescribing/NMP (degree level)
- Hold or be willing to study Advanced Clinical Practice at MSc level
Experience
Essential
- Working within a multi-disciplinary team in Emergency/urgent care setting i.e. A&E, Walk in Centres
- Experience using computer applications, including electronic record system
- Providing care and advice to patients and carers i,e, Planning/designing care treatment plans
- Autonomous worker
- Analysing and interpreting prescribing data
Desirable
- Working in Primary Care i.e. General Practice or OOH
- Using PGDs to supply medication to patients
- Experience using clinical system i.e. SystmOne
Knowledge and Skills
Essential
- High level of clinical skills and competency, to include:
- - Attention to detail
- - Sensitive and empathetic
- - Interpreting diagnostic tests and routine clinical procedures
- - Clinical examination and diagnostic reasoning
