Job summary

We are seeking a sensible and dedicated Salaried GP to join our small, friendly team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality medical care to our patients, manage a fixed caseload, and contribute positively to our community-focused practice. We are looking for an applicant that has an interest in Women's Health.

Main duties of the job

  • Conduct patient consultations and physical examinations in a primary care setting.
  • Manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs, ensuring the highest standards of care for all patients
  • Make professional, autonomous decisions for presenting problems.
  • Assess healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
  • Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
  • Develop care plans in consultation with patients, adhering to current practice disease management protocols.
  • Provide counseling and health education.
  • Referring patients to other care providers as appropriate.
  • Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
  • Comply with Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) requirements and participate in delivering enhanced services.
  • Issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions, prescribing in accordance with the practice formulary whenever clinically appropriate.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all practice policies and guidelines, including prescribing, data protection, and health and safety.
