Part-Time Receptionist
We are seeking a friendly, organised, and motivated Receptionist to join our busy GP practice team.
Working Hours:
27.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, 5 days per week - 1:00p.m. to 6:30p.m.
About the Role:
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in delivering a high standard of service and care. You will work closely with GPs and fellow reception staff in a supportive, team-based environment.
Our practice operates a GP triage system for all patient requests. As part of this, you will contribute to signposting patients to the most appropriate services, ensuring timely and effective care.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming patients and handling enquiries in person, over the phone and online
- Managing appointments and patient requests efficiently
- Supporting the GP triage process by gathering relevant information
- Signposting patients to appropriate healthcare services
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- Working collaboratively with GPs and the wider practice team

We are a busy and well-established GP practice located in Sunbury-on-Thames, serving approximately 19,300 patients. Our friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team includes doctors, nurses, paramedics, advanced nurse practitioners, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, healthcare assistants, phlebotomists and an experienced administrative support team.
We are also a training practice, welcoming GP and nurse trainees, and we actively support work experience students, contributing to the development of future healthcare professionals.

To provide a professional, efficient, and friendly reception service to patients and visitors, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the GP practice. The receptionist acts as the first point of contact for patients, both in person and over the phone.
Key Responsibilities
1. Patient Interaction
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and helpful manner
