We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity to join Shap Medical Practice as we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Nursing Associate to support our wonderful Nursing team in a role that covers most aspects of standard treatment. We are a well-established and friendly practice serving the local community, located in a bright and modern building in Shap, a charming village south of Penrith. Our Practice is frequently rated by patients as one of the top practices in the region.
Main duties of the job
The ideal candidate should be available to work between 14 and 20 hours per week over 2 days, with some flexibility around these hours. You will provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care for our patients, as well as offer nursing assistance to the doctors and other members of the primary healthcare team. Your duties will include all tasks typically performed by a nursing associate in a General Practice setting, such as phlebotomy, administering injections and vaccinations, wound care (including surgical, ulcer care, and compression), performing Doppler assessments, collaborating with the team, promoting health and wellness, conducting room checks (infection control duties), managing stock, and performing NHS Health Checks.
