Job summary
Castle Gardens Surgery are looking for an experienced,
friendly, and knowledgeable Practice Nurse to work within our existing
healthcare team in delivering continued excellent and compassionate care to our
patients. Minor injuries/illness would
be an advantage. We are based in Great Torrington (EX38 8EU) currently looking after 6800 patients.

Main duties of the job
As a high QOF-achieving and forward-thinking practice, we

the Torridge Health PCN.
The salary for this position will reflect with the
candidate's level of experience and expertise. Participation in the NHS pension
scheme is available.
About us
We are seeking a candidate to work three days per week (18 - 24 hours) over Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

specific health screenings to the Practice patients with referral to senior Nurse /

Assist in and perform routine tasks

Wound care / Ulcer care / Doppler
Removal of Sutures
New Patient Medicals / Urinalysis
ECGs
Travel Clinic, to include vaccinations,
medications and advice
Peak Flow Readings / Spirometry
Routine immunisations / Childhood
immunisations according to British schedule.
Undertake the collection of pathological
specimens including intravenous blood samples, swabs, cervical smears etc
and ensure cleanliness of any equipment used.
Perform an investigatory procedures
requested by the General Practitioners.
