Job summary

Andover Health Centre Medical Practice are looking for a GP Partner / Salaried GP - 4 to 5 sessions per week.

We are replacing a retiring Partner in October 2024. We are a dynamic and forward-thinking team. We moved to a new purpose-built Health Centre in December 2022 in the grounds of Andover War Memorial Hospital. We are well situated in the growing town of Andover in the beautiful Test Valley near the cities of Winchester Basingstoke & Salisbury.

We have a friendly and enthusiastic team currently of 11 Partners and 1 Salaried GP and are well supported by ARRS staff from our thriving PCN. We hold regular in-house clinical meetings and encourage regular coffee meetings, and a genuine open-door policy and collaborative approach. We are a training and research practice with 4 GP trainers and a supportive environment for both experienced and recently qualified GPs. Special interests and portfolio working supported and encouraged.

Main duties of the job

GMS Practice with patient list of approx. 14,000 patients

Consistently high QOF attainment.

Full on the day efficient triage system

Actively involved in our Primary Care Network. Team includes Physicians Associate, social prescribers, MSK team, pharmacy team and wellbeing practitioners. Streamlined approach to Nursing homes in Andover with regular MDT.

Member of Mid Hampshire Healthcare GP Federation with access to extended hours cover, ANP clinics, community Cardiology/ENT/ Dermatology and liver fibroscan service

Monthly clinics with Paediatric Consultant and Gynaecologist.

EMIS web, Docman, Lexacom and AccuRx systems

Rented building in the grounds of Andover War Memorial Community Hospital with MIU, Outpatients, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Midwife led Birth Centre and Hospice services.
