Job summary
We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated, hard working individual to join our team at The Weavers Practice. We are based in Rishton & Great Harwood, close to good motorway links and are on public transport routes.
The position is part time, 30 hours per week over 4 days. The position requires a mix of early starts (8am) and late finishes (6:30pm).
Previous experience of working in General Practice is essential.
You will be the first point of contact for our service users and visitors. You will need to be non-judgemental with excellent communication and listening skills.
We are a triaging practice using Patchs as our online platform. Our clinical system is Emis web.
Our opening hours are 8am - 6:30pm Monday to Friday. The successful applicant will need to have some flexibility and be able to work different/additional hours to cover annual leave or sickness when necessary.
A full UK driving licence is essential for the post as the job will require you to work across both sites.
Main duties of the job
As part of our reception team the successful candidate will be responsible for greeting patients, arriving them on the clinical system, dealing with queries in person, via telephone and online, booking appointments, making and directing telephone calls, processing information, assisting patients where necessary, manage practice emails, liaise with local community teams and external agencies.
The practice is often very busy and therefore resilience, flexibility and the skills to manage and prioritise your own workload is essential along with excellent communication skills.

We are a friendly GP Training Practice with a CQC rating (Good). Our list size is roughly 8500 patients. Our team consists of 2 GP Partners, 3 Salaried GP's, 3 Practice Nurses, 2 Health Care assistants, an Advanced Level Nurse Practitioner and of course our reception & admin team.
We are also part of Hyndburn Rural PCN (which is a collaboration of around 6 local practices). Being part of the PCN has enabled us to have access to a clinical pharmacist, and a physiotherapist and other local community based services within the Hyndburn area.
