Job summary

The Family Practice is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. Previous experience working in a general practice is essential, as we are looking for someone who can confidently step into the role with a good understanding of primary care.

Health Care Assistants in general practice play a crucial role in delivering and assisting clinical staff in providing treatment, preventative care, health promotion and patient education.

Main duties of the job

Main duties include:

• Phlebotomy
• NHS Health Checks
• BP recording and monitoring
• Urinalysis
• Basic wound care
• Chaperoning duties
• ECG recordings
• Diabetes reviews
• Health promotion activities
• Accurate recording of all patient interactions and procedures on the clinical system
• Ensuring clinical areas are clean, stocked, and compliant with infection control standards
