Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, proactive and enthusiastic individual. High Green Medical Practice are looking for a Deputy Practice Manager with strong interpersonal and organisational skills to support the Practice Manager and develop it, both now and for the future.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be confident in managing strategically and will possess proven management skills, particularly in HR, IT, Compliance including CQC and Health & Safety. They will also need to be astute and capable of providing a strategic, proactive, and innovative support role in an ever-changing health care environment

About us

We have two GP Partners complimented by a Primary Care Practitioner, GP Trainees and a friendly reception team. We have full access to a range of ARRS staff including a Care Coordinator, General Practice Assistant, First Contact Physiotherapist and Clinical Pharmacists.

High Green Medical Practice is looking for a Deputy Practice Manager with strong interpersonal and organisational skills to support the Practice Manager and develop it, both now and for the future. Job responsibilities

Location: Nottingham City

The postholder will support the Practice Manager, in ensuring the smooth running of the practice. Where required, develop efficient systems of management to include IT, Human Resources, Financial Management and to delegate tasks appropriately.

The post holder will be a member of the surgery management team with the delegated responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the surgery. They will ensure the effective processing of all administrative work and appropriate liaison with the reception and administration team while leading the attainment of Local and National KPIs, and APMS KPIs.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • To promote the development and maintenance of a quality learning environment throughout the practice.
  • To ensure effective supervise the work of the reception team and co-ordinate support services for other team members.
  • To ensure rapid response to incoming telephone calls and ensure appropriate action is taken and messages are recorded and take immediate corrective action when needed.
  • To identify training needs of reception staff and provide support in the achievement of the objectives of their personal development review.
  • To lead the reception staff appraisal system using relevant templates and ensuring relevant, measurable and attainable objectives for staff.
