Job summary
We
are looking for an additional GP to work 6 sessions per week at our newly refurbished, growing practice
in the centre of the beautiful market town of Farnham.
Our current list size is 14,000 and our practice comprises a team of 10 doctors, (including 3 partners), 4 nurses, 3 HCAs and a wide variety of additional clinical roles (Physicians Associate, Clinical Pharmacists, Social Prescribers). We work closely with our PCN and benefit from an excellent Same Day Access Centre and an established Integrated Care Team supporting our clinical activity.
At our practice, GPs look after their own personal patient lists. Main duties of the job
This role involves the full range of usual GP duties, including face-to-face and remote consultations, duty doctor participation, managing acute and chronic conditions, preventative care, referrals, and involvement in multidisciplinary team working.

- The provision of services commensurate with the PMS contract
- Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance
- Effective management of long-term conditions
- Processing administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative tasks
- On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles
- Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
- Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
- Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
- Contribute to the implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice
