Job summary

An exciting position as Practice Manager has become available to join our dynamic team at Fernlea Surgery. We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic, hardworking manager to provide leadership using data and information technology solutions and to help move the Practice into a new digital age of service delivery.

About us

Situated within South Tottenham Haringey, the surgery has a diverse group of patients and staff members. This includes a wide variety of age groups, different ethnicities and backgrounds. We are a well established Surgery with 4 GP Partners providing healthcare to 12,000 patients. We are looking for a Manager to provide leadership and management skills to enable the practice to meet its agreed aims and objectives within a profitable, efficient, safe and effective working environment.

Qualifications

Essential

  • A relevant qualification in business management, or equivalent qualification or experience, preferred;
  • Detailed and up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation, as well as experience in managing a diverse workforce;
  • Strong skills and experience in HR, premises management, IT and complaint handling;
  • Prior experience of leadership and personnel management, ideally within a healthcare setting;
  • Experience in financial management;
  • Ability to deliver a vision, with a willingness and the drive to adapt to NHS targets and business planning, whilst keeping abreast of legislative and contractual changes;
  • Self-motivated, with a forward-thinking, solution-focused approach;
  • The ability to develop, implement and embed policies, procedures and guidelines;
  • Experience of working in an ever-evolving environment, with an ability to cope with regular change;
  • Excellent organisational, management and planning skills, IT skills and communication skills;
  • Ability to implement and manage change effectively;
  • Ability to identify training and development needs in self and other as well as experience of appraising staff
