Sessional Pay: £11,111 per session

We are seeking an enthusiastic Salaried GP to join our friendly and forward-thinking team for a 12-month fixed term contract, working 45 sessions per week.

The start date from April 2026- However can extend to June 2026, and number of sessions are flexible.

The role offers a supportive working environment, with protected administrative time, capped administrative workload, and a mixture of routine clinics and duty doctor sessions.

You will also benefit from protected coffee and lunch breaks, an allocated mentor, and regular staff socials and team lunches, reflecting our strong focus on staff wellbeing and team culture.

Main duties of the job

To support the partners and other members of the Primary Health Care Team in providing a full range of clinical services to a high standard for the benefit of all our registered patients and non-registered patients where necessary.

Ensure clinical notes are accurate, up to date and appropriate

Ensure qualifications are maintained and updated as necessary and undertake appropriate training/retraining/revalidation as required to perform the duties of the role.

Follow procedures and protocols as defined

Chapelgreen Practice is a well-established, friendly and forward-thinking practice based in the Burncross and High Green area of Sheffield.

We serve a patient population of approximately 15,000 patients across two sites in the North of Sheffield, balancing excellent patient care with long-term service sustainability. We are part of Network North PCN.

Practice Team

Our supportive multidisciplinary team includes:

  • 8 GP Partners (including 4 GP Trainers)
  • 3 Salaried GPs
  • 1 ACP
  • 6 Practice Nurses
  • 3 Healthcare Assistants
  • 1 Physician Associate shared with the PCN
  • Clinical Pharmacist Team shared with the PCN
  • Well-resourced management and administrative team

Training Practice

We are an enthusiastic training practice, regularly supporting:

  • GP Registrars
  • Medical Students
  • Foundation Doctors
  • Physician Associates
  • Apprentice nurses

We provide structured support for trainees, including protected 20-minute debrief slots per registrar for supervision and feedback.

Clinical System

We use SystmOne as our clinical system.

The successful candidate will support the practice in delivering a high standard of patient care to our registered population of 15000 across two sites (Burncross surgery and High Green health centre).

Responsibilities include:

  • Surgeries- a mix of Face to Face and telephone calls
  • Home visits
  • Reviewing and actioning test results and prescription requests and documents
  • Making appropriate referrals to secondary care and external services
  • Clinical supervision of registrars, ARRS roles and medical students- with protected time within allocated clinics.

The role will involve a mixture of routine clinics and duty doctor sessions on rotation. We operate a double duty doctor system- with an experienced GP.
