Role Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking GP to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a focus on teaching, clinical research, and professional growth.

Key Details
  • Sessions: Flexible, up to 6 sessions per week (negotiable)

  • Salary: Competitive, per session (negotiable)

  • MDU: Paid by the practice

  • Annual Leave: 6 weeks (pro rata)

  • Study Leave: 1 week (pro rata)

  • Non-NHS Work: None required

Clinical and Administrative Support
  • Docman: Light clinical screener with dedicated blocked admin time

  • Home Visits: Low, with access to a Rapid Response team

  • Parking: Free onsite parking

Training and Development
  • Teaching Opportunities: Involvement in teaching and supervision, with support for those interested in becoming a GP trainer

  • Clinical Research: Encouragement and support for expanding education or clinical research within the practice

    Main duties of the job

    Clinical Care

    • Deliver high-quality general medical services to all patients, including participation in duty doctor sessions.

    • Ensure patient-centered care, prioritizing individual patient needs in accordance with GMC standards.

    Clinical Administrative Duties
    • Manage patient-related administrative tasks, including reviewing results, handling letters, and addressing prescription queries.

    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation to support patient care and practice operations.

    Professional Standards
    • Adhere to the highest personal and professional standards as outlined by the General Medical Council (GMC).

    • Uphold patient care as the top priority, ensuring compassionate and ethical practice.

    Practice Development
    • Collaborate with the Practice Manager and GP Principals to support the development, delivery, and review of the surgerys action plan.

    • Contribute to the practices goals, including participation in initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
