Job summary

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our forward-thinking, training-focused practice located in the heart of the beautiful High Peak town of Buxton.

Serving over 11,500 patients with plans in motion to expand our list to 16,000+ through the acquisition of a neighbouring practice we are looking to appoint a GP for 6-8 clinical sessions per week. This role is ideal for a passionate and flexible clinician who values teamwork, innovation, and excellence in patient care.

This salaried position includes all standard responsibilities of a modern-day GP working in a high-functioning practice. For those interested in leadership or ownership, there is scope for future partnership consideration.

• 3 GP Partners
• 10 Salaried GPs
• A highly skilled Nursing Team of 9
• A dedicated and efficient administrative team

We are a proud training practice, hosting Medical Students, FY2s, and GP Trainees in collaboration with Sheffield University and East Cheshire Deanery. Daily clinical huddles, regular MDT meetings, and a genuine culture of support ensure that all clinicians are well-equipped and well-connected.

We play an integral role in the High Peak Primary Care Network (PCN), with members of our team holding key leadership positions, including:

• PCN Clinical Director
• PCN Home Visit service lead employer
• High Peak COVID Vaccination Lead

We are also involved in shaping local services and pathways through various locally commissioned projects.
