Job summary
We are seeking a motivated and clinically confident Research
Delivery Nurse to join our expanding primary care research programme.
This role offers the opportunity to deliver NIHR portfolio
and industry-sponsored clinical research studies within an established GP
practice using EMIS.
The postholder will work closely with the Principal
Investigator to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality research delivery in
accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory requirements.
Working days will be agreed in advance but must allow flexibility to meet
protocol-specific visit windows and participant availability, including
occasional early morning fasting visits.
Main duties of the job
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Clinical Research Delivery
Conduct study visits including:
- Clinical assessments and observations
- Venepuncture (essential)
- ECG recording
- Sample processing and centrifugation
- Preparation and shipping of laboratory samples

Administer study medication/interventions where
delegated

Monitor for adverse events and escalate to the
Principal Investigator

Maintain accurate source documentation and case
report forms

Enter data into sponsor electronic systems where
required
Recruitment and Study Setup:

Run EMIS searches to identify eligible
participants

Screen patients against protocol criteria

Support recruitment and retention

Obtain informed consent (where delegated)
Governance and Compliance:

Work in accordance with GCP, MHRA and ethical
approvals
