Job summary
We have a vacancy for 2 x Reception Managers to join the Practice team.
These full-time posts will work at both practices and work collaboratively
to lead the reception/administrative teams, ensuring the
smooth running of the reception and administrative functions of the Practice.
The role requires a balance of leadership, operational management,
administrative oversight, digital/data support, patient service excellence and
team development.
The role is demanding but rewarding and strong leadership
skills are required along with excellent communication and organisational
skills. The successful applicant will work alongside an experienced
reception/administrative team as well as doctors, registrars, nurses and other
healthcare professionals across two sites.
Hours: 37.5 hpw / Monday-Friday

Main duties of the job
- Day to day line management of the reception and administrative teams ensuring they carry out their duties effectively and efficiently in line with practice protocols.in delivering an excellent patient experience.
- Reception Managers to work closely to coordinate staff and services to ensure adequate staff levels at both sites.
- Oversee staff rotas, annual leave management and sickness processes to always maintain adequate staffing levels on each site.
- Lead (in conjunction with the Asst Practice Manager/Practice Manager) Digital, Data & Technology projects/developments within the Practice.
- Compile and run EMIS searches to support Practice activity, including QOF targets, safety searches for prescribing and ad hoc searches as requested.
- Involvement in innovation and transformation projects, eg remote monitoring, and mapping pathways as required.
- First point of contact for on site digital and technology problems, liaising with the local IT Team to rectify any issues that cannot be resolved in Practice.
- Ensure all staff have access to EMIS, ICE, telephony systems etc, registering new accounts, troubleshooting as required.
- Assist in the delivery of annual appraisals, supervision, probation reviews, and performance management for all reception/admin staff.
- Support staff welfare, manage conflict and foster a positive, supportive working culture.
