Job summary
Glenpark & Teams Medical Services have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, forward-thinking GP to join our friendly and committed team as a salaried GP. This position is for 5-7 sessions per week, working across both of our sites in Dunston and Teams. You will be joining a great team led by 6 GP Partners and working alongside 7 salaried GPs in a purpose built surgery with spacious clinical rooms.
We have recently developed the appointment system to improve patient safety, continuity and access. This also means less frequent on calls for the doctors and a team approach to completing administrative and prescribing work. Routine surgeries consist of 13 patients in the morning & 12 of an afternoon. There are daily informal meetings to have lunch together and to provide support and discuss cases. Competitive salary/annual leave/study leave given.
We would welcome visits to discuss the role further and for you to meet the team. We would also be interested to hear of any skills you would wish to develop or bring to the team.
Interview Date - Tuesday 18th November 2025
Main duties of the job

Outside of the triage rota, you will run your own clinics, managing acute, complex and long-term health conditions and actioning administrative work associated with this.
In addition, you will
Action pathology results and general queries
Undertake home visits (average one visit per week)
Attend clinical and multidisciplinary meetings, including safeguarding meetings
Contribute to supervision of Doctors in Training and medical students
Provide clinical support to the wider team during duty sessions
Work as part of the practice team to ensure continuous quality improvement, audit, the improvement of systems and care management
